dahlecon1 Posted May 4, 2015 Posted May 4, 2015 Hey everyone, My question is regarding my application for the Fall 16 PhD programs. I have browsed around the forums and looked at the admit/reject pages for a while but I thought I should just ask. I am a junior at a small school (Lawrence University) and am majoring in Russian and Economics (2 classes short of a math minor). My major GPA is about a 3.6 and overall 3.2. My top schools right now are Clemson and University of Washington in Seattle. Based on my GPA (I havn't taken the GRE yet but I am aiming at about a 162 for Q, in practices I have gotten between (First) 158 and (Third) 163), I have looked at a lot of programs but just far as pure rankings go, what level of schools should I likely apply too? Berkeley is my reach school, I don't think I'll get in there, and U Georgia in Athens is one of my safe schools, does this sound realistic to people? For math I have taken Calc I ( Calc II (B+), Intermediate Statistics (C+) <- this is what I am most worried about, Real Analysis (A), and Adv. Linear Algebra (A). I have also taken Adv Micro and Macro Theory (Taught as a first year PhD course would be taught). Let me know what you all think. Best, Tim
