jamba256 Posted June 5, 2015 Posted June 5, 2015 (edited) Hi all, I am new to this forum and have been confused about the process of getting into a Master's program for Mechanical Engineering, despite my many conversations with friends who are Ph.D. students and graduates, now. I attended two different schools as an undergraduate, where my first institution was more prestigious, but I did better than my subsequent years. On my graduating transcript, they did not include the GPA from my transfer transcripts, and so my average is below what any good school would take. I have no research experience, but I did take numerous graduate classes in my field during my Junior and Senior years, and I am looking to attend a foreign university, if possible, for my Master's. At this point, the only thing that I think that I can do is knock the GRE out of the park, but even then, I don't have a good GPA (2.8 without transfer credits, which are about 1/3 of my total classes), and I have been an officer in the military for the past 5 years (so, I clearly have done no research). What would be the best course of action for me to be accepted to some place like TU Munich? Thanks for your help. Jamie Edited June 5, 2015 by jamba256
