Film Studies in the UK

Hello,

 

I am thinking of doing Film Studies at a university in the UK and was wondering how the programs there compare to those in the US, if there are any notable differences, etc.

 

Also, what are the top universities for Film Studies there? I looked at the Guardian's ranking of media studies programs and some of the reputed places weren't even on the list. So I'm not sure that's a good list to go by, apart from the fact that I am interested in specifically Film and not Media Studies. Could anyone help me out please?
