Hi all,

So this is a double question, and I would really appreciate any responses.

1. How does one go about talking to the professor in their field? For example, do you ask them to read your thesis or SOP, or say that you want to get in and would like to work with them? How would such an email conversation go beyond like 1 or 2 emails?

It sounds like you were using the novels as primaries, showing attitudes of the times they originate from. I know of other projects along a similar line that were acceptable on their own merits.
