mydecipheredcode Posted September 25, 2009 Posted September 25, 2009 hi, In recent days, I have been knowing about the uniqueness of dictyostelium, a cellular slime mold. I plan for higher studies doing a research in dictyostelium. I would like to know the scope of this in the near future i.e. what kind of job will i get after my phD, how growing is the field of research in dictyostelium and what application does this study have, like, influence in medicine etc.,? Since it is obvious that everyone cares if one's phD work leads one to a good job, these information would be of great help to me.
ScreamingHairyArmadillo Posted October 27, 2009 Posted October 27, 2009 Check this page out: http://dictybase.org/ It looks like there's tons of research going on; it's a model organism for genetics and cellular research.
