Hi all,

I'm currently a first semester senior and thinking about applying to the Wagner (NYU) MPA program in public and non-profit management. I have not taken the GRE. I know that it is not required, but I'm sure it couldn't hurt. My stats are:

3.7 GPA at Top 25 Liberal Arts College

internship at non-profit (focused on immigration issues)

owner of sweatshop-free, ethical clothing company

fellowships in community based learning programs three years in UG (teaching in low-income areas, doing research, etc.)

Should I apply now and see what happens or try to take the GRE? Any words of wisdom would be greatly appreciated.

Are you in a position where you could take the GRE now AND apply? That might be best. Even if Wagner doesn't require GRE scores, I imagine the majority of applicants in your pool will be taking the test and submitting their results. That relative disparity might hurt your chances.
