I'm new to sociology.

Hello i'm currently a college student and in the fall semester I will be taking Principles of sociology 101, can anyone recommend some books to read sociology and learn about it, so I can have an advantage before class starts. ( I know the obvious answer would be just get your book from the class your taking and read it, unfortunately the professors at my college don't post the books until a few days before the class.) Thanks would love some insight, whether it be books,articles, or even movies.
