LlamaMama Posted August 4, 2015 Posted August 4, 2015 Is anyone here a current grad student? How many hours do you spend studying? I'm taking 15 credits my first semester in grad school. I've seen estimates of 3 hours outside of class studying per credit? So this means 45 hours outside of class studying? JustJay 1
laurengreen1 Posted August 7, 2015 Posted August 7, 2015 I'm 'part-time' and this is my first semester...I spend about 30 hours/week for 9 units. This includes 'class time' as well since my program is all online. (My internships haven't started yet though).
Ocmisenheime Posted August 7, 2015 Posted August 7, 2015 @laurengreen1 just curious as to which online program you are in?
Yancey Posted August 7, 2015 Posted August 7, 2015 I've never timed it, but a lot! It gets tough because on top of going to class and studying there is also a lot of time (around 6- 8 hours 4 or 5 times a week) that is dedicated to clinical placements. The amount of hours per class can also very. A class that's really difficult or more difficult for me to stay interested in may require more studying hours than a class that I understand easily or view as more in tuned with my interest.
