Abhimanyu Banerjee Posted September 4, 2015 Posted September 4, 2015 (edited) I have gotten a Quant score of 162 and a Verbal score of 165. My target schools are Georgia Institute of Technology, University of Maryland - College Park,Rutgers the State University of New Jersey--New Brunswick, University of Texas Austin, Purdue University - West Lafayette in order of preference. Are my scores sufficient to get a foothold into admission at any of these schools? Or do I have to look at other options. If so, can anyone please suggest alternatives? Thanks in advance.EDIT: I failed to mention before that I am aiming for a Computer Science course in the colleges mentioned (Electrical and Computer program in Texas-Austin) Edited September 4, 2015 by Abhimanyu Banerjee
bhr Posted September 4, 2015 Posted September 4, 2015 Um, I don't think that there is a Maryland Institute of Technology (except for the UMD DH stuff)
Abhimanyu Banerjee Posted September 4, 2015 Author Posted September 4, 2015 I am referring to University of Maryland - College Park. Sorry for the confusion.
Vene Posted September 4, 2015 Posted September 4, 2015 Your GRE is probably good enough for practically everywhere. The GRE is the least important part of your application. Get it in the top quartile and your application will reliably be looked at. But, it is not enough to get you into a particular university. That depends on your GPA, your LORs, your SOP, and any additional experience in your field of interest (generally research experience or other scholarship).
