newgrad1234 Posted September 14, 2015 Posted September 14, 2015 I had emailed a professor to express my interest in being a representative on the school council. She says she will need to wait until Thursday to see if other students are interested. If there are none, then I will get the position. What does this mean? Do I need to make extra effort (i.e. go to office to discuss)?
fuzzylogician Posted September 14, 2015 Posted September 14, 2015 It means exactly what it says. Sounds like at the deadline for expressing interest is on Thursday and therefore a decision can't be made before then. I don't think you need to do anything now. I would just write back to thank the professor, and express again my excitement and enthusiasm at the prospect of getting this position, and how much I look forward to hearing from her on Thursday.
