Transitioning from Mechanical Engineering to Machine Learning

Would it be possible to make the transition to a AI/Machine learning graduate program since it requires a background in CS? The only link I can establish is that I have had a good track record in my mathematics courses ( Linear Algebra, Statistics, Numerical Methods, Calculus, Vector Calculus) and I will have completed Andrew Ng's machine learning course before applying. I have taken a few programming and robotics electives as well. My senior year thesis dealt with humanoid robotics and my GRE score is 332. Is it possible for me to switch?

I really need help and don't have anyone else to guide me. Thanks in advance.
