Thinking of applying to Michigan Ann-Arbor MS MechE, any suggestions?

Hi, I'm an international applicant (MechE undergraduate),

Specifically I'm interested in applications of nano-micro technology application in the biomechanics field (e.g; use of carbon nanotube composite in cutting edge medical device, etc)

Does anyone have any suggestions on good MS programs in the US (I'm on a scholarship)?

some more questions; How competitive is UMich, say, in comparison to Stanford?
