shivaangsharma Posted October 3, 2015 Posted October 3, 2015 I wish to apply for a Masters in Energy & Resources from Berkeley and for the Masters in Environmental Science at the University of Pennsylvania. I am 26 have a three year degree in BSc. Economics from Symbiosis University in India. My work portfolio consists of a year long stint with WWF-India (World wide fund for nature) as a research assistant living in the forests and local communities. Currently, I am working with SUZLON (wind energy) for the past six months with the CSR (Corporate Social Responsibility) team. I have scored 323 in my GRE (Quantitative - 163, Verbal - 160) and my GPA appears to be a weak point since it is 3.1 out of 4. However, my GPA is a pegged one, i.e. the average of the class determined my grade as well. Is there a tool that can help me convert this figure into an actual GPA? More importantly, in accordance with the aforementioned qualifications, will i be a suitable candidate for the programmes i have listed? Although i wish to pursue this degree out of my passion, I would greatly appreciate some guidance on the job prospects for the same. Thanks a Million!Shivaang.
TheBumChikiBum Posted October 4, 2015 Posted October 4, 2015 You seem to be right on track. You might wanna have some solid SOP and LOR as UCB is not easy to crack but your profile suits otherwise. Need better quant (165?).
