I am going to be graduating this spring from UC Berkeley with my B.A in Psych with intentions to then get my MSW after taking some time off. Right now I am trying to figure out what kind of experience I should be getting during my gap year(s) to better my chances of admission to a MSW program. I had been thinking about doing Teach For America and am pretty excited about it. however, it was mentioned to me that since TFA is 2 years I might as well do peace corps and that would look better? Can anyone speak to the validity of that statement or have any advice?

Much appreciated

I think it all depends on what your goals are within the world of social work.  Are you interested in clinical, generalist, macro...etc? Is there a specific demographic or setting you picture your career with?
