mr479 Posted October 17, 2015 Posted October 17, 2015 Anyone know why exactly UA-F is on probation and what this means for future graduates?
kharkins Posted October 17, 2015 Posted October 17, 2015 Here's what ASHA said in their official report:http://www.asha.org/uploadedFiles/Accreditation-Approval-Status-UA-Fayetteville-SLP.pdfIt doesn't look too serious, but I'm hesitant to apply to a program on probation for any reason! mr479 1

kharkins Posted October 21, 2015 Posted October 21, 2015 I'd be nervous about the school losing accreditation before/during/after we would go through the program- I'm not sure what that would mean about our degrees and job prospects.
jazspeaks Posted March 20, 2016 Posted March 20, 2016 In case anyone runs across this in the future, I thought I'd conclude this post with an email I received from the UofA on March 18: "We are please to announce that our program’s probation status was removed, and we are in full compliance with the Standards for Accreditation. University of Arkansas, FayettevilleFayetteville, ArkansasMaster’s program in speech-language pathologyAccreditation dates: April 1, 2015 through March 31, 2023The program was in compliance with all standards and has met CAA’s expectations (thresholds) for student outcomes" mr479 1
