mnd004 Posted October 20, 2015 Posted October 20, 2015 Hi all,I am an international student doing my undergraduate degree in the US. I am shooting for PhD program of top 20 schools (I don't have a Master degree yet). I did my GRE twice: first one in August (164Q, 152V, 3.5AW) and second one earlier this month (170Q, 155V, 3.0AW). I was shocked by my new AW score. I thought I did it much better than the first time...So my question is should I request a rescore or retake the GRE? Or my current score is fine (just send the schools both of the scores maybe?). I have a 3.57GPA from the top 30 liberal arts schools (with a strong engineering program). No publication but I will present one of my research projects at the APS conference in Boston this November. What is my chance for top 20? (Since a lot of schools have a 3.5 AW cutoff).I really appreciate all of your opinions!
TheBumChikiBum Posted October 21, 2015 Posted October 21, 2015 Just go ahead. No need to take GRE again. You are good to go!!Focus on your application package. mnd004 1
mnd004 Posted October 24, 2015 Author Posted October 24, 2015 Thanks for the suggestion. Honestly, I am still shocked with my writing score ... I just submitted a rescore request 3 days ago.
