Hi,

This is my first post, so I would have to state some basics about myself so that you would have a clear understanding of my current situation.

I am currently studying Human anatomy (I would bag a B.Tech degree) next year, with a CGPA within the range of 3.6-3.7 on a scale of 5.0. My life long dream is to get into graduate school and earn an advanced degree in the field of bio-medical sciences, but with the look of things, I don't think I have a strong CGPA to achieve that. Although I am yet to take the GRE, I would do that next year (2016) when am done with my undergraduate degree final exams. I am hoping to get into a direct PhD program (I have ZERO research experience) as is it right now.

I am currently doing a compulsory industrial training program in a diagnostic centre (I am working in the radiology department, with bunch of other radiographers and consultant radiologist). I am really confused as to what I would go on to do after my first degree. In my country, it;s extremely difficult to get a job with my type of degree, the ONLY option is to get a second degree and take up lecturing job.

What do you think I can do in the space of time (within now and 2017) to increase my chances of getting into a graduate school in the US? Is there anyway where I can meet with professors and volunteer to help with their research online? (Research opportunity in this part of the world is non-existence). What type of program would you advice me to aim towards? considering my background in human anatomy?

Answering these questions would go a long way in helping my thinking process. Thanks a lot.
