Sedgar20 Posted November 8, 2015 Posted November 8, 2015 I am currently a second year speech-language pathology graduate student. The program that I am enrolled in, is a brand new program that is just now trying to figure out how they are going to be giving comps. As of right now, the comps will cover a variety of different subjects and be made up of multiple choice questions in order to help us prepare for the praxis exam. They also want to make the passing criteria 85%. With that being said, I wanted to ask other SLP/ SLP graduates how their schools comps were laid out. Our staff have said that if you fail the comps many programs will not let you re-take them until a year later and their passing criteria is fairly high. This is all based on research they have done with other SLP programs. My classmates have also researched this and found the opposite. I just wanted to hear what you all had to say concerning this matter. Thanks in advance for the information! If you could please write your school name as well that would be great!
