dm141 Posted October 26, 2009 Posted October 26, 2009 I tried looking for a similar thread but could not find one (if one exists then i'd be glad to delete and post there). Anyway, I was curious if anyone here has applied to NYU GSAS for the Spring semester and, if so, when they heard back from NYU. The deadline for the application is November 1st so I am hoping to hear back around the beginning of December but I someone mentioned that it may take until mid-January (seems kind of ridiculous given that classes would be starting at the end of January). Specifically, I am applying to be a part-time student in Courant's Scientific Computing program. Thanks!
tesser7 Posted November 15, 2009 Posted November 15, 2009 Hi dm141, have you heard yet? I applied to NYU's Social Work program for the Spring, and I haven't heard back yet, either. The deadline was also November 1, but I got my application in in mid-October, so I was hoping to hear back soon-ish. Who was it that said that it may take until mid-January? That does seem crazy; registration for the spring is starting tomorrow! Has anyone else that applied for NYU Spring heard back yet, either way?
dm141 Posted November 17, 2009 Author Posted November 17, 2009 No I haven't back either. A friend of mine who is currently enrolled in the masters in math program is the one who mentioned that he didn't hear back until January but I have no idea how if that is standard protocol or if he had some odd sort of application situation. I'm guessing/hoping that we'll start hearing back shortly after Thanksgiving break, but that's purely speculation.
dm141 Posted December 11, 2009 Author Posted December 11, 2009 so no word yet for me, anyone else? it seems like they'll have to get back to people next week (ie: before the holidays) otherwise we're only looking at ~2 weeks notice. personally it wouldn't be a huge deal, as I already live in new york and would only be a part-time student, but i have to image that isn't enough time for someone applying for a full-time program living elsewhere...
