Aryaastark Posted December 7, 2015 Posted December 7, 2015 Hi, I completed my undergraduate in electronic and communication engineering with cgpi 8.3/10 from India. I want to earn MS in CS from US universities. My GRE score is 316( 170 in quant) and 3AWA. I applied for spring but got rejected in all. They said I don't have appropriate level of coding experience and theoretical knowledge in cs. How do I overcome that? Currently I am in USA.
billrach Posted December 9, 2015 Posted December 9, 2015 Your applications may have been to ambitious. Where did you apply?
.letmeinplz// Posted December 12, 2015 Posted December 12, 2015 As billrach said, you might have just gone to usnews and picked the top 10 schools in CS and then called it a day without regard to your profile or your fit in the department. There are plenty of non-CS BS holders in MS programs (a friend/classmate of mine did her BS in neuroscience). But don't expect to beat BSCS people for spots at MIT.
