I'm graduating as an undergraduate in two months, and I'm trying to figure out what I'm going to do. I've decided that I'm going to take a year or two off from academics and work; trying to gain experience in a "practical" field. I think I know what want to do. I want to get two masters degree, in history and political science, and teach at a community college. Part of the reason that I want to work for a 1-2 years so I could work in the previous field while teaching adjunct. What do you think? Any information or opinions would be greatly appreciated.

It's nearly impossible to get a teaching job with just a bachelor's. How will you teach as an adjunct next year without an MA? Do you have a teaching offer somewhere?

I think that taking time off is a good idea, but if you know that you want to teach why bother getting experience in a "practical" field?
