philapgirl Posted January 1, 2016 Posted January 1, 2016 Has anyone asked about UCLA's inconsistencies with their fill-out form and the .pdf you can check before submission? (One funny one is that it says my COUNTRY of birth is San Francisco.....) The one I'm a little (and probably unnecessarily) worried about is it asks in the form for (Jr/Sr) GPA and then on the .pdf it reports it as just the GPA. What have/will/would you all do about this? I feel uncomfortable signing the form which says that they reserve the right to withdraw my application from consideration if the information is incorrect.
759 Posted January 1, 2016 Posted January 1, 2016 I had similar problems when applying to UConn. The tech support people basically said that the .pdf is an unofficial document, and that I shouldn't worry so long as I filled out the actual form correctly. gughok 1
Cromulent Flurp Posted January 6, 2016 Posted January 6, 2016 I've had something similar happen on my Michigan application, with the PDF showing incorrect details that I'd changed (and saved) on the form. I haven't been able to find a way to change the details that show on the PDF, or get help from Michigan. They said they can't change anything once the form is submitted, but I didn't submit it (they don't seem to realize how their system works). I'm still trying to get clear from them whether the error only appears on my copy and not theirs.
philapgirl Posted January 6, 2016 Author Posted January 6, 2016 My boyfriend actually works for collegenet as a web developer and Michigan is one of the forms they work on. He told me to say that it's always best to contact the company that runs the app sites if you encounter technical errors (and not the schools). In this case, find the contact for apply web help and they can check to make sure your form is correct. jjb919 1
