Hi everyone,

I received my first graduate acceptance letter from Texas Tech University Health Science Center in Lubbock, Texas. Unfortunately they are only giving me 10 working days to pay the placement guarantee fee and I'm still waiting on literally all my other schools. Even though I interviewed with Texas Tech I still don't know much about their program, reputation, good things or bad things, etc. Their website isn't too informative. Does anyone know anything about this school? I'm trying to justify paying the placement fee while waiting for the other schools. Thanks!

Hey!

Texas Tech is a great school! I visited their AuD program over the summer. 

One thing you need to be sure of, though, is being committed to being in Lubbock for the length of your program. Lubbock is really isolated ! It has everything you need, but if you like traveling to nearby cities, it might not be for you. 

They are really realistic when it comes to their students. They don't really seem to want to baby step people, because their program is in the Health Sciences Center. It's really medical center focused work from what I have heard. 

I don't know what other schools you applied to, but I'd take the offer !

Did you decide to accept? I am currently in their undergrad program and trying to decide between them, OU, and Gallaudet!
