Expand Well, although the term gives the impression of brain simulations, neuromorphic chips etc. a little bit, the group in MIT is huge on developing novel tools for faster recording from brain like new microscopy techniques, automated patch clamp recordings etc. and better stimulation of neurons. What kind of reaearch do you want to get into in grad school?

I am mainly into understand design principle of cellular systems using tools from engineering math.

However they are sent at the same time. So it seems like they had a meeting and all the POIs are ordered to send invitation. Why can't some of the POIs send before hand? They just said that all applicants will be contacted via email regarding the status of their applications next week.

I am pushed by the travel agency of my other interview and have to answer her about my return date by Friday. So you mean you contacted them last week and they said next week. It means applicants will be contacted by Jan 15th, Friday. Is that correct?
