Hi guys,

I've been working on my academic statement for Georgetown for some time, and I'm still worried that it's not 'quantitative' enough. I don't mention how to use these certain "sophisticated quantitative tools" because, frankly, I don't really know how to use them yet! Ideally, an MPP will teach me :). So, is it enough to write about a specific policy and why quantitative analysis would help measure its effectiveness/impact? Or should I get a quick refresher on chi-squared tests and cost benefit analysis? Here's the prompt for your reading pleasure:

The McCourt School's MPP program emphasizes analytical rigor and using sophisticated quantitative tools where appropriate. Why do you think analytical rigor is important for policy analysis? Use a current policy issue to demonstrate your reasoning. (Max 500 words)
