sneeps Posted January 11, 2016 Posted January 11, 2016 Hi guys, I've been working on my academic statement for Georgetown for some time, and I'm still worried that it's not 'quantitative' enough. I don't mention how to use these certain "sophisticated quantitative tools" because, frankly, I don't really know how to use them yet! Ideally, an MPP will teach me . So, is it enough to write about a specific policy and why quantitative analysis would help measure its effectiveness/impact? Or should I get a quick refresher on chi-squared tests and cost benefit analysis? Here's the prompt for your reading pleasure: The McCourt School's MPP program emphasizes analytical rigor and using sophisticated quantitative tools where appropriate. Why do you think analytical rigor is important for policy analysis? Use a current policy issue to demonstrate your reasoning. (Max 500 words) Boston Girl 1
