1gdmz Posted January 28, 2016 Posted January 28, 2016 I was asked, "if you are admitted to xx program and our program, which one would you choose?" xx program is ranked much higher than theirs, and I did apply to it. I just said " I haven't thought about it yet. I will only consider this question after I get admission decisions ." I'm not sure if this is a proper answer... Can anyone give some suggestions? Many thanks!
serenade Posted January 28, 2016 Posted January 28, 2016 I think this a perfect answer because it's none of the adcomm's business!
nevermind Posted January 28, 2016 Posted January 28, 2016 (edited) It's a good answer. There are so many variables (funding, etc.) that it's impossible to tell which program you're attending without the requisite information. You might've just reiterated interest in attending their program after discussing that, but it's really unfair of them to ask you anyway. Edited January 28, 2016 by nevermind
sasya Posted January 29, 2016 Posted January 29, 2016 Was a good answer, they are trying to test how much interest you have got to join their program . 1gdmz 1
