JohnC137 Posted February 8, 2016 Posted February 8, 2016 I am currently a third year doing my bachelors at UCSB in Financial Math and Stats (joint major). I plan on getting a masters before going to work in industry, but I would preferably want to stay in California during this period. (Hopefully SoCal). From what I have heard, after the top 15 programs or so, rank doesn't seem to matter for statistics, and I should pick a school that is often recruited from or will teach me practical skills. Can anybody enlighten me on what schools would be worth applying to in CA? I am considering CSULB, UCSD, UCI, UCLA, and a couple more at this moment.
beerkatmanor Posted March 10, 2016 Posted March 10, 2016 Definitely Stanford and UC Berkeley for statistics, UCLA has a great biostatistics program too but I don't know about straight statistics
