When is it too early to ask about admission status?

Deadline was 12/15, and they started admitting people in late January it seems. Obviously it's still early. Is it not too early to start bothering people, or should I wait til the end of the month?

Also, out of curiosity, do programs that admit people early, especially with funding, start doing the same thing, bothering applicants about their decision?

I don't have an answer for you, but I'd like to commiserate! I haven't heard from one of my schools, and it's really driving me wild. I know in my mind it is probably going to be a rejection, but I'd rather just know and move forward.

I wish I had an answer! I wish I'd heard something other than radio silence myself. I was told to wait 4-6 weeks after the deadline before calling. I don't know if that was good advice, but I'm going to try my best to follow it. For some programs, I only have two weeks left.

No idea.  

I'm going to wait until the end of the month for all but Cornell. I'd suggest that everyone wait probably until after the end of February. Seems to be the month for quite a few programs.

I think I'll wait 2+ weeks (meaning the last Monday of the month) to bother people. Hopefully I hear back by then anyway.
