Interim Advisor Assigned at NCSU online portal = recommended for admission ?

From time to time, I check the GradWatch online portal for North Carolina State University. Yesterday a new section appeared on my application profile at GradWatch under the title "Interim Advisor" with a professor name just behind it. I googled the professor's name and found out that his research interests are directly related to my field of research.  

Does this mean that he recommended me for admission to their department ? Because I am 100% sure that this section "Interim Advisor" had never existed just before yesterday. I know I am speculating a lot about a trivial topic, but it truly means a lot to me if this happens to be the case.
