houseblend Posted February 25, 2016 Posted February 25, 2016 I've applied to several programs in School Counseling/Counselor Education (M.Ed.) and have (thankfully!) been accepted to a few. However, a handful of them are already requesting my decision by next week, the first week of March. This in itself isn't a problem necessarily, but I still have 3 more interviews to attend at the end of March, a month from today. I'm planning on asking for an extension, but is a 4-6 week extension ridiculous and unheard of? Thanks for your advice, guys!
monocle Posted February 25, 2016 Posted February 25, 2016 Shouldn't really be a problem. Go ahead and ask! Worst case scenario they say no. I would ask for an extension til the end of April and just explain that you are waiting to hear from other schools and financial information so you can make the best decision. You might even be able to get them to give you some tuition remission or something if you phrase it right.
