jecopeland Posted November 14, 2009 Posted November 14, 2009 I am starting to apply for Master's programs in I/O Psychology and I've noticed that most of the schools listed on the SIOP website look for work experience. I have almost a years worth of research experience but no related work experience. Can anyone tell me what kind of work of experience I/O programs look for? Internship in HR? Research work?
prefers_pencils Posted November 30, 2009 Posted November 30, 2009 I'm currently in an I/O master's program. Most people here have work experience in either related psychology research or human resources. Some have work experience in unrelated areas and are career changers (e.g. journalism, teaching, finance). I entered with two years of full-time research experience.
