SOP Review: PoliSci (IR)

HELLO!

I am looking mostly at Top 10 International Relations programs. My GPA is 3.7 and my GRE Verb/Quant is 600/780. Since my GPA and Verbal are a little low, I need a killer SOP!

Most of the programs I am applying to say to keep it between 500-1000 words, and mine is 730. However, I still think it is a little wordy and the language is a little "flowery" for the social sciences. I would really appreciate anyone looking it over and suggesting edits. I'd be more than happy to return the favor.
