shellyb Posted March 16, 2016 Posted March 16, 2016 So I need some advice. I have applied to 3 M.S programs in Biostatistics: JHU, UMBC and GWU for Fall 2016. I got rejected from JHU and accepted into GWU without funding. Still waiting on UMBC. I am freaking out a little about going into so much debt for this degree- about 50k. I thought I would get some funding. Is Biostatistics still a pretty safe field in terms of job prospects. I have already taken enough classes to know I will enjoy the work. Am I insane for considering taking on so much debt for an M.S in Biostatistics. Also is employability less with a degree from GWU being a mid level program. Any and all responses will be appreciated.
