rrosie Posted March 30, 2016 Posted March 30, 2016 Hi, I was accepted into Stevens Institute MSCS and UPenn MCIT program and was wondering if anyone had advice on choosing between the two? My background is in marketing, and I majored in Econ & Psych during my undergrad. I've only taken a few night courses at my community college in programming (1 semester in C++, Assembly, Unix, Python and 2 semesters of JAVA). My major concern is being able to handle a MSCS with only 3 or 4 bridge courses. I was also wondering if a MSCS is more prestigious/better when applying & finding jobs than the MCIT; I know Penn is an Ivy but since it wasn't the MSCS I wasn't sure if Stevens is a better choice. I'm not 100% sure whether I am looking more towards software engineer or product manager. If you had to choose which program do you think is best? Has anyone attended or have experience with either program? Thanks for your advice.
