Hayley Lynch Posted April 15, 2016 Posted April 15, 2016 (edited) Writers, I hope it is appropriate for me to post a message about this creative writing competition. My apologies if I am misplacing this; I'm new here. Please consider entering your work in the William Faulkner-William Wisdom writing competition with the Pirate's Alley Faulkner Society. Judges include National Book Award/Pulitzer Prize-winning story writer Adam Johnson, NBA-winning novelist Julia Glass, National Novel Writing Month founder Chris Baty, Pulitzer-winning journalist Daniel de Vise, poet Mark Yakich, novella writer Moira Crone, and more. Most of these writers and many more will also attend our Words & Music festival Nov. 9-13 in New Orleans to give workshops and talks. As part of Words & Music, we are also having a fantastic month-long program on Latin American writers in partnership with Tulane's Stone Center for Latin American Studies. The program will include talks by Yuri Herrera-Gutierra, and Jorge Hernandez, who will lead discussions around New Orleans on his collection of Mexican writing, Sun, Stone, and Shadows, an NEA Big Read Selection. Prizes are very good (especially the $7,500 award for best novel) and include free admission, hotel and transportation to Words & Music (Nov. 9-13, 2016). Finalists get half-off admission to Words & Music. All writers anywhere writing in the English language are eligible to enter the competition. Submission deadline is May 15. Let me know if you have any questions! https://wordsandmusic.org/william-faulkner-wisdom-competition/competition-guidelines/ About the festival: wordsandmusic.org Edited April 15, 2016 by Hayley Lynch Adds festival location

CamberGirl Posted September 13, 2016 Posted September 13, 2016 (edited) Thanks for information. I know that I am already late but does this competition takes place every year? Edit: I already found the information. Thanks! Edited September 13, 2016 by CamberGirl
