dynamical Posted April 18, 2016 Posted April 18, 2016 So the minimum gpa is 3.5 for Stanford MSCS. Is this a hard filter, meaning that any application that doesn't meet the requirement is automatically rejected? Is there anyone with sub 3.5 gpa that got accepted to MSCS? Thanks
Edotdl Posted April 19, 2016 Posted April 19, 2016 Although there might be someone here that knows the answer, I don't see why you don't just email the department. Policies may change over time, and this way you'll know for sure.
DC1020 Posted April 19, 2016 Posted April 19, 2016 "Should" is not quite the same as "must" - the results board shows a few sub-3.5 admits over the past few years. They are few and far between though. You will probably have to be an absolute superstar with a very compelling story and application in order to get in with a low GPA.
