As a Molecular Biology major and math minor undergrad few years ago, I have very little experience in programming or engineering. After working in labs for few years I decide to change field and go for programming. I originally decide to go for bioinformatics only but still take my chance in CSME as it is somehow related but I felt I had no chance of going in. April 15th passed and I thought every school should have answer so I decided to go to SDSU for Bioinformatics. However, I just got news yesterday that I got accepted in CSME in UCSD and I don't know what to do.

To me if just in terms of programming UCSD CSME is definitely better and have better job outlook. However, I don't know if I am able to handle the course work as I have pretty much 0 experience. SDSU on other hand it's better study environment and I got into a research lab already that can help enormously in my education, but the job outlook is not as good as I am now limited in this biology programming field and I heard hiring department tends to take those in computer science than bioinformatics.

If anyone can give me some feedback or opinion that will be great

Thanks
