MFA Drawing and Painting programs

Does anyone have any opinion or experience with the campus life and experiences at University of Indiana, University or Iowa, University of Washington, or the University of New Hampshire? I know I'm not narrowing down the school but I'm looking into applying for MFA Drawing and Painting programs and I'm interested not only in how their art departments are but also just in general what it's like to go to these schools and live in the cities. I'm also wondering about what the studios are like. Also, if anyone who is into painting from observation, what might the best schools be for that specific style. i know some say that staying on the West or East Coast to be relevant in the art world is important. Do you think this view is accurate or are midwestern schools just as connected? Thanks for any advice as I'm keeping an open mind.
