Okay so. I am in desperate need of advice.

I sent my application to the Master's program in Mathematics in December of 2015, which was validated in early January this year. The deadline was somewhere around February 1st. I have heard nothing about a decision yet and it is May 17th.

I am guessing since it is so darn late that there is little hope left for any good news, but it's driving me insane. I must have called them 4 or 5 times in the past month inquiring about my status, each time getting the reply, "I don't see a decision having been made yet. Contact the department to see when you should expect a reply." So, I get transferred to the department. Aaaaaaaaand..... no answer. Every time. Except once, when the department chair happened to be by the phone, and she told me the committee hadn't met yet, but isn't it very late for that?

Also, I have emailed the department and the graduate committee chair, asking when I should expect to hear. No replies.

Honestly, I feel like a pest but if the decision just so happens to be yes, it would be nice to know so I can start making living arrangements and such...

I've already heard back from 2 other grad schools I applied to, both sent their decisions in early April! What the heck, Montana??

This situation is made worse for me because Montana was my top choice. I don't know what to say to the other schools, I'm waiting on Montana...

As a worry wart, I must check the website around 10 times a day. I know that isn't going to make the decision appear faster, but I'm so full of anxiety about this! aaaah!!

Please, anyone who could offer advice, I desperately need it.
