Hello,

I'm new to this site and I hope this question hasn't been done to death but I haven't seen the topics on this as of yet. When I first started school I didn't know what I wanted to do and changed my major a lot. My indecision and lack of passion for these majors dropped me to a 3.0 gpa. However, I started back at school 2 years later and for the 2 years i have been at the new (and harder) school I now have a publication, 2 years of research with two separate labs concurrently, and a 3.9 gpa. I also have GRE scores at 323. However, when I look at admission ratings, I see I'm competitive for most aspects but the average accepted gpa is around 3.6-3.8 while my average is 3.3... I'm aware that the gpa alone doesn't break my application but I'm wondering how strongly graduate schools would weigh 2 years worth of 4.0's vs my previously poorer grading background.

I'm applying for a PhD in clinical psychology for the record. Thank you for any help.
