Jahn Posted July 17, 2016 Posted July 17, 2016 Guys: I just took my second attempt this morning and got 700. My first attempt was in May and got exactly 600. I want to apply for USC and NYU for their Master in Accounting programs. I'm an international student now study both accounting and business management-finance at BYU-H (it's a small school). My GPA now is 3.46 (it's not very competitive but it's because I did not pay much attention on those boring courses. and is pretty sure that I can graduate with a 3.5+ GPA (now my accounting GPA is 3.6 and my finance GPA is 3.7). Experiences: Used to be the vice president of the accounting club in charge of our students' office visits. Used to be a teaching assistant for The Introduction to Financial Accounting course. A winter internship experience in the finance dep. of Ctrip.com which is a company like Priceline. I did several projects like Fixed Asset transfer on ERP system, Office Automation System update, and reimbursement speed analysis. I'm not sure if these experiences are advantages for graduate school application because these projects are really not that important for the company.. I only got 3 weeks to study and expected to get 730 but only got 700. So guys I need your opinions. Do you think I should take GMAT in three weeks or just use current score to apply. I plan to visit these two schools next week so that I may be able to meet some professors to talk with and know more about how to apply the schools. My mom said I should use next week to visit and relax, and then review for 2 weeks and score a 780 but I know that's not true...
