Any current or former police officers?

I'm new to these forums, and have recently been exploring grad school opportunities. I was just curious if there were any current or former police officers like myself (current police officer) who have chosen to pursue a PhD in the field and criminal justice/criminology. I've been messing around with the possibility of going that route after a masters program.

Hi @TBL.  I am a retired NYPD SGT.  I had to retire early because I got hurt LOD (with just under 10 years OTJ).  I went through the whole application process and was fortunate enough to be selected for John Jay's Ph D program in Criminal Justice.  If I can be of any help.. just let me know.
