I recently took the GRE for the second time and my score was not great.
My first attempt was 317 (160Q and 157V, 3.5 AWA)
My second attempt was 313 (163Q, 150V and TBA AWA).
GPA 3.93/4.0 ; good extracurricular activities
1.5 years of work experience.
International Student
My Quant score was a little bit higher but my verbal score dropped significantly for whatever reasons. I hope to get into some MBA in Finance, or MS in Finance or MS in Stats of good universities. One of my dream school is Columbia but I am afraid my mediocre GRE score will not get me there. Please please help me by suggesting which score should I report (since they were both not great) and which way I can offset this score in my application. Should I mention that I used to reach 157 in Verbal and I got a good GPA to prove my sufficient verbal skill?
