MD/PhD

Hey Y'all 

I am currently applying to PhD programs in Anthropology (Biological Anthropology) and have been looking more into the combo programs of MD/PhD. I know some programs want the PhD in a biological science but some programs that I am interested in would allow me to do this through Anthropology. Anyway, I was hoping for some feedback, advice, comments, etc. about the process, if it's worth it, and everything. My professors and schools resources aren't that equipped to give any advice besides "Apply and let's see?".
