How reliable are these placement rate stats?

This site seems pretty comprehensive. You can search by placement rate, time to degree, GRE scores, etc. Does anyone know how accurate their stats are?

They use the NRC stats from 1995. Look at where nyu is for example.

When it comes to placement, the only truly honest source is a complete list of all placements, or at the very least a complete list of all placements in a given time span. "Selected placements" or "typical placements" don't tell the whole story. Know your goals for after the PhD and pick a school (or set of schools) that is best-suited to get you to your goal!
