shur42 Posted November 17, 2016 Posted November 17, 2016 Hi everyone, As most fall 2017 applicants, I am currently stressing over my SOP. I was wondering if any of you guys know if it's OK to use pictures/figures in the SOP? I am applying for an engineering program and I feel that some illustrations of my past work would be a great way to attract attention to my SOP. Any thought or experiences? Would it be frowned upon?
nogitsune Posted November 18, 2016 Posted November 18, 2016 (edited) To be true, I've never seen students using pictures in the SOP. Maybe you can create a portfolio, attach it and mention about it in your SOP? Though I'm not sure if it's a good idea. Here is the thread about Images in Statement of Purpose on Confidential that might help you. Also, pictures were never mentioned in any Statement of Purpose Education Writing Guides. But it's your decision to make. Good luck! Edited November 18, 2016 by nogitsune typo shur42 1
