Citing a book in SOP

Hi all,

I have used a book's name in my SOP with the following format: … read “the name of book” (Author x & Author Y, 2009) …

Is it necessary to reference the book completely (for example in APA format) at the end of the SOP?

I don't think that's necessary to include the APA citation if you're only stating the name of the book. Only do that if you're referring to the content of the book/journal/article.
