RRRRHU Posted November 23, 2016 Posted November 23, 2016 Hi guys, I have a question that really confuses me for a while. I am working on the Ga Tech graduate school application for ECE Master. In the application there is one question asking "Do you require financial assistance" If I don't expect any assistantship or funding, I just want to take the loan for my graduate school study (master only), do I still need to check the box "Yes" in that section. If anyone experience this question in the past? I am afraid if I check yes, then it will affect my chance to be accepted. I have contacted the graduate school ECE department, but they are kind of rude and don't explain what they mean here. Thanks in advance. I will appreciate if any one can give me some advice. Best,

I think you should check "Yes". If you do not get any funding then from your statement above, you didn't expect any. Therefore, there is no harm in checking "Yes". I have not experience this question in any of my applications. But since you have already contacted the school and have not gotten an adequate response, I would take the chance because SOME funding, no matter how little, is better than loans.

I am thinking I should check yes, too. Thank you very much for your reply.. I appreciate it.
