Stanford CS, PhD admission considered for MS

Stanford's application has a question asking you if you would like to be considered for MS if you're denied admission to PhD. But it also says that this depends on the department. I checked everywhere I can on the CS dept.'s website, emailed them (got an automated response) and could not find an answer.

Does anybody know if they consider PhD applicants for MS?
