adroitdancer Posted December 25, 2016 Posted December 25, 2016 Hi there, I am an average student of computer science and mathematics at a tiny, but distinguished, liberal arts college in the west coast. I am a junior, and I will write a thesis next year (does that count as research experience?) I don't know what my life will look like in terms of careers, so I was looking into going into graduate school to explore topics that interested me (most computer systems, distributed programming, etc), and get a better foundation in the discipline. While there is no way I would be admitted to a top or even a medium-tier school, I was wondering what my chances would be for schools like Claremont Graduate University, Georgetown University, University of Delaware, Portland State University etc. for a PhD. Are these schools competitive to get into w/ funding for someone with my profile??
